OFAL is running again pre-market Thursday September 4, gapping hard off Wednesday’s $0.68 close, tagging a high just under a buck before fading back below its pre-market VWAP — all on volume that’s already blown past the 20-day average before the opening bell. The trigger hit the wire at 8:00 AM ET. The question, as always with this ticker, is whether the catalyst or the float is doing the heavy lifting. On this tape, it’s the float.
The catalyst
OFA Group announced this morning that QikBIM, its AI Building Information Modeling platform, completed a “viral” first 90 days of commercial availability — 281,665 content views, thousands of new followers, 186,637 AEC professionals reached in a single eight-day campaign, and its first paying subscribers, the first subscription revenue in the platform’s history. Read that carefully: the headline metrics are audience numbers, and the revenue milestone is “first subscribers” — the July 14 update disclosed 23 registered users, so the base is starting from nearly zero. QikBIM is priced as a corporate membership at $20,000 annually for projects up to 16,000 square feet, so a handful of conversions would be genuinely material against the $717K in revenue and $8.0M net loss the company reported for fiscal 2026. The legacy business is architectural design and fit-out services through its subsidiary Office for Fine Architecture.
The machinery
This is where the mechanics lens earns its keep. OFAL executed a 1-for-10 share consolidation effective July 31, 2026 to support continued Nasdaq listing, cutting issued Class A shares from roughly 26.4 million to about 2.6 million. That’s how you get a sub-2M float — and why a single PR can move this thing 30%+ before the open. The supply side of the ledger is loud: shares outstanding grew 171% over the past year, and per the latest quarter cash sat near $178,000 against current liabilities above $7.5M, with the company leaning on preferred issuance and likely future dilution. No ATM or ELOC is named in recent filings, but a burn rate like that against a pre-market pop is exactly when paper tends to show up. Size accordingly.
The tape
August is the playbook. OFAL exploded from roughly $0.79 on August 11 to a $3.79 spike high on August 12, then closed that same day at $1.36 — aggressive morning chase, liquidity rush, punishing fade. It then bled lower nearly every session into late August; every spike got sold. This week it based in the low-to-mid $0.60s on light volume before this morning’s gap.
The bracket into the open: pre-market high just under $1.00 is the line — a reclaim of the whole number on sustained volume opens air toward the mid-$1s where August bagholders live. Below, the mid-$0.60s zone (this week’s base and the pre-market low) is the failure level; lose it and this is a gap-and-crap back into the range. Price fading below pre-market VWAP before the bell says sellers currently have the ball — a VWAP reclaim after the open is your first tell that dip buyers are real. Given the August pattern of sold spikes, level-to-level with a hard stop beats conviction holds here.
Not investment advice — do your own diligence; low-float movers like this can reverse violently and without warning.
- Shares outstanding: 2.64M · Float: 1.86M
- Dilution-relevant SEC filings (30d): none found in the last 30 days
- Splits: 1-for-10 reverse (2026-07-31)
- OFAL executed a 1-for-10 reverse split effective July 31, 2026 to maintain Nasdaq listing, reducing Class A shares from ~26.4M to ~2.6M outstanding with a float near 1.86M. Shares outstanding grew roughly 171% over the past year, and the latest quarter showed about $178K cash against $7.5M+ in current liabilities, with the company relying on preferred/equity issuance. No named ATM or ELOC in recent filings, but third-party trackers flag high probability of a near-term capital raise.
