WBUY spent last week flatlining. Five straight sessions of drift, volume drying up to almost nothing by Thursday and Friday, price parked in the low $0.80s. Then at 8:30 this morning — Monday, September 28 — the company dropped its half-year numbers, and the tape went vertical before most desks had coffee. Writing this at 9:28 AM ET, pre-market, with the stock chopping around its premarket VWAP after tagging the mid-$1.30s and pulling back.
That’s the shape of the move. Now the substance.
The catalyst is real, and it’s earnings
Webuy Global, a Singapore-based company that started life as a social e-commerce grocery platform, has finished its transformation into a travel business. The company announced unaudited results for the six months ended June 30, 2026: revenue from continuing operations increased 94.4% year-over-year to US$14.31 million, gross profit increased 131.7% to US$1.83 million, gross margin expanded from 10.71% to 12.77%, and total net loss decreased 56.8% to US$3.32 million. Following the exit from grocery operations, packaged tours accounted for all revenue from continuing operations, with packaged-tour revenue up 106.8% in Singapore and 106.9% in Indonesia.
There’s a forward-looking hook too. Webuy is positioning China inbound travel as a key component of its next phase through WeTrip, its international China travel platform. And the company recorded approximately US$4.76 million in preliminary unaudited travel bookings at the August NATAS Fair, roughly 42% higher than the March 2026 event — though bookings represent gross value of products reserved and do not constitute recognized revenue. Keep that distinction straight; the headline writers won’t.
The float is the accelerant
This is a sub-3M float name, and premarket volume already ran to roughly ten times that float. When supply is this thin, real news doesn’t get priced — it gets auctioned violently. That’s why you saw a premarket range spanning from the high-$0.70s to the mid-$1.30s in an hour.
The structural history matters for sizing risk:
- Shares were bumped to the OTC in January 2025 after failing Nasdaq’s minimum bid price rule; the company implemented a 1-for-120 reverse split on April 10, 2025 to regain compliance.
- No ATM or ELOC shows up in the last 30 days of filings — just 6-Ks. As a foreign private issuer, though, WBUY discloses less frequently than domestic filers, so dilution machinery can surface with less warning.
- A company still losing over $3 million a half-year, trading at a single-digit-millions market cap, will need capital eventually. Strength like this morning’s is exactly when small caps like to print an offering.
The levels
Premarket high in the mid-$1.30s is the line — reclaim and hold it on the opening drive and there’s little overhead until the $1.50s, with the 52-week high miles above. Downside brackets: the $1.00 psychological level sits right at the premarket VWAP zone, and below that Friday’s $0.83 close is the full gap fill. The tell is whether regular-session volume holds price above VWAP in the first 30 minutes — buyers in control stay above it; a fade below $1.00 on heavy prints says the premarket crowd is unloading. Expect LULD halts either direction; size so a halt against you doesn’t matter.
Real revenue growth, a genuinely tiny float, and a clean catalyst — that’s a better setup than most Monday gappers. Just respect the reverse-split lineage and the cash burn.
